Key Responsibilities:
- Build subject matter expertise in digital content management and syndication technologies and best practices, and educates others
- Responsible for the implementation & management of digital content strategy and technology capabilities focused on product data (PIM), and the internal and external services associated to it
- Ensures the solutions are fit for purpose for digital content syndication and are adopted to its fullest potential across markets
- Defines strategy and roles & responsibilities behind BPO Content Governance Team, in partnership with Operations teams and vendors.
- Govern product digital content and process quality across creation and syndication (or leads transition of this responsibility to relevant Operations teams)
- Partner with the Global Solution Owner for Product Aggregation and Syndication to optimize use of technology assets, and simplify e2e data flow
- Simplify solution landscape and improve speed of data delivery to consumers, and meet evolving digital shelf requirements
- Enable Sales and Marketing by providing the insights, communication capabilities, and single source of trusted and governed product & content data (in partnership with Data Management Operations and Governance teams)
- As part of the Portfolio, ensure robust & sustainable Data solutions which drive value (i.e. Application rationalization, process harmonization and innovation) in conjunction with business needs.
- Control costs by ensuring transparency of costs and total cost of ownership as new projects are implemented.
- Self-educate by gathering information and learnings from peer companies, conferences and events to develop strategic solution roadmap for the Data Management area, taking emerging needs into account so a long-range plan and funding proposition can be worked out to be ready for future Data trends and challenges
- Promote new and better ways of delivering solutions, specifically builds DevOps capability in his/her team
More about the position:
Education / Certifications:
- Degree in Data Management, IT, Computer Science or equivalent
- DAMA certifications or equivalent data certifications will be highly preferred
Job specific requirements:
- Knowledge of content syndication business process & how data are leveraged to create business outcomes
- Proven experience partnering with sales/marketing in delivering product data (digital assets, logistical information) to Customers across most demanding North America and European markets
- Proven experience developing and executing successful data technology and data architecture strategies that deliver sustainable earnings and a competitive advantage
- Sound DAM, PIM and GDSN knowledge, preferably with Adobe and Informatica experience
- Proven experience managing third party vendors delivering solution support and BPO services
- Experienced at identifying and evaluating innovative data technology companies and leading negotiations to conclude partnerships and/or alliances
- 10+ years of professional experience, preferably in Data Management / Data transformation, ideally in the consumer goods industry
- 5+ years of experience in digital content and eCommerce
