The Opportunity
Cochlear is looking for a Global Supply Chain Planner to ensure business continuity as well as ongoing process development/improvement in the area of global production, material and inventory planning.
In addition this role is also to support the business in the area of supply chain analytics, product life cycle management incl. item setup, implementation, documentation and testing of Oracle Supply Chain Solutions and strategies. Finally, this role will be co-responsible for ensuring the successful nature of the global IBP process.
This is a permanent full time role based in Cochlear’s Global Headquarters in Macquarie University.
Your responsibilities will include…
- Supporting the development and maintenance of supply chain plans inclusive of all elements of all sources of supply and demand and accounting for other known sources of intelligence
- Developing, monitoring, and correcting regional demand plans inclusive of all elements of regional demand including but not limited to service and tender demand
- Assist in the development and support the use of exceptions report
- Assist in ad-hoc data analysis when required
- Maintain and/or coordinate the update and monitoring of Oracle planning and inventory management attributes
- Support further development of the global S&OP process and the development and implementation of the IBP process.
- Ensure continuity and ongoing development of global production, material, demand, distribution and inventory planning solutions through:
- Enforcing data standards and content relating to supply chain planning (incl. key elements of planning data)
- Support event planning/management included but not limited to planning for shutdown periods etc
- Raise and manage BSS Help Desk Requests with Business Systems Support and conduct any necessary testing required for issue resolution
- Review and provide feedback on new business processes
- Support business in the area of supply chain analytics, setup, implementation, documentation and testing of Oracle Supply Chain Solutions and strategies incl. product life cycle management and inventory
- Facilitate and/or support development and deployment of Supply Chain Planning solutions including but not limited to relevant planning reporting
- Promote knowledge of S&OP and IBP and provide/support user training and education as required
- Follow relevant quality procedures in order to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement. Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g. audit) when appropriately trained to undertake these responsibilities.
About You:
Required Skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, APICS Supply Chain Management or equivalent or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a medical device environment.
- Demonstrated advanced application of Supply Chain Management processes
- Extensive exposure to Supply Chain management processes within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with working in a systems implementation or other project environment
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP
- Advance knowledge of all key Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Demonstrated prior experience in advanced business analytics and data interrogation techniques
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques and/or Lean Manufacturing principles
- Advance knowledge of data interrogation/query design and reporting techniques
- Experience in project management
- Advanced understanding of principles governing Supply Chain Management
Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000 Base + Annual Leave Loading + Super + 7.5% Annual Bonus
