Job Summary:
The Market Development Director at Google is responsible for identifying and driving strategic growth opportunities to expand Google’s presence in key markets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute market strategies, building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with Google's overall business objectives. The Market Development Director plays a critical role in shaping the company’s market positioning and driving long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate new market opportunities to drive business growth and market expansion.
Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and strengthen Google’s presence in existing ones.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and industry leaders.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and engineering, to align market development strategies with business goals.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform decision-making and strategy development.
Lead negotiations and partnerships to secure strategic alliances and business opportunities.
Monitor and report on the performance of market development initiatives, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
Represent Google at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company’s vision and offerings.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in market development, business development, or a related field, preferably in the technology sector.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior in the technology industry.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
