Job Summary:
The Market Development Director at Google is responsible for identifying and driving strategic growth opportunities to expand Google’s presence in key markets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute market strategies, building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with Google's overall business objectives. The Market Development Director plays a critical role in shaping the company’s market positioning and driving long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities to drive business growth and market expansion.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and strengthen Google’s presence in existing ones.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and industry leaders.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and engineering, to align market development strategies with business goals.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform decision-making and strategy development.

  • Lead negotiations and partnerships to secure strategic alliances and business opportunities.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of market development initiatives, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Represent Google at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company’s vision and offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in market development, business development, or a related field, preferably in the technology sector.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior in the technology industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
