Job Description

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Job Description

Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is seeking Grader Operators to share their expertise within our Civil Transmission Line team. The role will involve creating 240km of access tracks throughout private property in the Central West region.

Successful candidates will be required to travel and live in Merotherie, NSW on a 14/7 roster, working 10-12 hour days. Accommodation and meals will be provided.

This position is expected to start at the end of November.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating M12 – M14 Grader with GPS
  • Operate to create haul roads
  • Working collaboratively with crew of 5
  • Respectful of the property, local community and landowners.
  • Willingness to labour, assist with fencing and crossings when required

Required Skills and Competencies

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Current RII Grader Ticket
  • Additional tickets advantageous – excavator, roller, dump truck
  • Experience working on haul roads, particularly on similar projects - FIFO/Renewable energy/large Infrastructure
  • Construction white card
  • Full C class driver’s license at minimum and own vehicle
  • Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and police check
