ResMed seeks a proactive Graduate Systems Engineer to join us in a pivotal role driving forward a business-critical project. If you thrive in highly regulated environments and excel in managing compliance and detailed documentation, this position is ideal for you.

This is a unique growth opportunity. You will be exposed to the entire product development process and collaborate regularly with different departments and teams across the business. 

The initial appointment will be on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, with a possible extension. Part-time hours (~4 days per week) will be considered. 

Let’s talk about the team: 

The Product Lifecycle Engineering team is the core engineering team responsible for maintaining ResMed's existing product devices on the market. The team is made up of multidisciplinary engineers, including Electronics, Systems, Mechanical, and Projects, so there’s always someone knowledgeable to approach. We’re agile, collaborative, engaged, and empowered to deliver amazing outcomes for our patients, and we’re looking for a Graduate Systems Engineer to join us!

Let's talk about the role:

In this role, you will be the Graduate Systems Engineer, managing the move of ResMed’s existing respiratory care product standard from the Medical Device Directive (MDD) to the Medical Device Regulation (MDR). 

  • Support the Systems Engineering deliverables and responsibilities within a product development cross-functional team 
  • Work with product stakeholders to decompose user needs, detail and maintain system requirements 
  • Support demonstration of product performance with full traceability of requirements to supporting evidence 
  • Develop and maintain risk management activities with guidance from senior systems engineering
  • Ensure adherence to systems engineering principles and quality system processes

To excel as a Graduate Systems Engineer within our Product Lifecycle Engineering team, you will need to be a highly analytical systems thinker, an effective interdepartmental communicator, and a collaborator with project management skills. 

Qualifications and experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering 
  • Demonstrated relevant experience for approximately 3 - 6 months
  • Full working rights in Australia at time of application
