Job Description

Minor Hotels is seeking a strategic and visionary Group Director of Sales to join our Commercial department, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial.

This pivotal leadership role will shape and drive the sales strategy for one of the region’s most dynamic and fast-growing hotel portfolios. If you're passionate about performance, innovation, and developing high-impact teams, this is your opportunity to lead at scale and make a tangible impact.

As Group Director of Sales, you will:

  • Direct all sales segments managing Corporate, Leisure (domestic and international), Government, Sports/Entertainment, Groups and MICE
  • Drive the strategic sales direction across Minor Hotels in Australasia.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, regionally based Sales Team.
  • Implement innovative strategies to optimize revenue and market share.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, fostering collaboration and results.
  • Collaborate with executives to align sales with overall business goals.
  • Champion a culture of customer focus, innovation, and growth.

Qualifications

You are a dynamic, strategic leader with:

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the hospitality sector.
  • A degree in Business or a related field.
  • A strong record of exceeding revenue targets and market share growth.
  • Deep knowledge of hotel sales strategies and market trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience across multiple brands and regional markets (highly preferred).
  • A passion for people development, innovation, and partnerships.
