About the role

As a Group Product Manager (GPM) at Tyro, you will lead a team of product managers responsible for building and scaling differentiated products that drive long-term growth and business impact. You balance strategic product ownership with people leadership, ensuring that both your product portfolio and your team of PMs thrive. You operate at the intersection of product vision, customer insight, and commercial outcomes - owning complex product domains end-to-end, influencing company direction, and inspiring teams to build innovative solutions that scale. You will set vision and direction for multiple product areas, mentor and coach product managers, and foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning. This is a role for a product leader who thrives on ambiguity, influences at all levels, and develops the next generation of product leaders.

What you'll do

Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of product domains with a 12–24+ month horizon.

  • Craft opinionated and differentiated strategies using frameworks such as "Where to Play" and "How to Win" to create durable competitive advantage.

  • Align product teams under a shared vision while enabling autonomy in execution.

  • Identify and validate long-term opportunities that span across product boundaries and business lines.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, providing coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities.

  • Create a high-performing, engaged, and empowered product team culture.

Execution & Product Excellence

  • Drive complex initiatives from zero-to-one and scale, balancing technical, customer, and commercial dimensions.

  • Define robust success metrics, OKRs, and learning loops for your product area.

  • Set the standard for product quality, speed, and strategic depth, ensuring high-leverage trade-offs and crisp prioritization.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Maintain a deep, intuitive understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitor landscapes.

  • Regularly engage with merchants and end-users, uncovering novel insights and translating them into breakthrough product ideas.

  • Leverage data, research, and structured problem solving to navigate ambiguity and make high-stakes decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and operations leaders to deliver high-quality products.

  • Facilitate cross-team alignment and resolve dependencies that span multiple product areas.

  • Represent product priorities and insights at leadership forums.

What you'll bring

Proven Product & People Leadership

  • 8+ years in product management, including 3+ years leading product managers or squads.

  • Experience managing multiple product areas with significant business impact.

  • Track record of developing and scaling high-performing teams.

Strategic Thinking & Product Craft

  • Exceptional product intuition backed by structured frameworks, data, and customer insight.

  • Expertise in managing ambiguous problem spaces, identifying leverage points, and making high-quality decisions quickly.

Customer-Obsessed & Data-Driven

  • Strong experience in leading customer research, experimentation, and cohort-based analysis.

  • Ability to synthesize insights from qualitative and quantitative sources into decisive product direction.

Influence Without Authority

  • A natural collaborator and communicator who leads through storytelling, clarity of thought, and calm under pressure.

  • Experience influencing company-level priorities and getting buy-in for complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Product Excellence & Scale

  • Skilled at defining long-term roadmaps, scalable architectures, and sustainable processes.

  • Comfortable working across multiple squads and product lines, navigating trade-offs and dependencies.
