The Role

Linktree is doubling down on paid media acquisition in 2026, with plans to scale significantly. We need a senior strategist who can own SEM end-to-end, make smart budget calls across channels, and bring the analytical rigour that lets us scale spend with confidence.

This is a hybrid role by design. You'll have your hands on the keyboard running our SEM program, using AI tooling to multiply your output. And you'll zoom out to make the cross-channel budget decisions that determine where our next dollar goes and why. You won't be a measurement specialist, but you will be fluent in incrementality, MMM, and attribution — the tools that turn budget conversations from opinion into evidence.

You'll sit within the Growth Marketing team alongside specialists across paid social, performance creative, CRO, data and lifecycle — reporting to the Director, Growth Marketing.

What You’ll Own

  • SEM media buying and scaling — directly own and operate Linktree’s SEM program across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, using Claude Code and AI tooling as your primary operating environment.
  • Cross-channel budget allocation — own high-level paid budget allocations each month and quarter, building models and recommending where incremental dollars go.
  • Paid media measurement and attribution oversight — own the measurement strategy at a channel level, the relationship with our incrementality partner, and the testing roadmap.
  • Strategic comms with Finance — be the growth team’s primary analytical voice in budget conversations, translating channel performance into ROI, payback, and risk.
  • Google partnership management — run point on Linktree’s relationship with our Google media publisher partner team.
  • Paid media strategy for GTM moments — design the paid media strategy for major product launches, market entries, and seasonal moments.
  • Global opportunity sizing and market expansion — identify and size the opportunity in scaling paid acquisition to new markets.

What You'll Bring

  • 6–8+ years in growth or performance marketing, with meaningful SEM experience at scale and cross-channel budget ownership.
  • Hands-on Google Ads expertise — you’ve built and scaled SEM programs and you’re comfortable operating through AI tooling and automation.
  • Fluency in measurement and attribution — you understand incrementality, MMM, and how to use causal data to make better budget decisions.
  • Strong financial acumen — you’ve been in budget conversations with Finance or leadership and can build models that connect channel performance to business outcomes.
  • Experience managing strategic platform partnerships (Google, Meta, or similar).
  • Comfort operating in a PLG/freemium SaaS environment where the funnel is long and user quality matters as much as volume.
