As the Head of Commercial Excellence and part of Haleon’s ANZ leadership team, you will lead the charge in the development of innovative channel, customer, and category strategies that seamlessly align across functions. Your role is crucial in designing net revenue management plans and shopper marketing initiatives that not only drive performance but also propel the company ahead of the competition. You will play a key role in fostering business improvements and advocating for exemplary commercial practices, especially in areas such as pricing, gross-to-net, and net revenue management.
The role:
- Collaborate with sales & marketing to develop Go-to-Market strategies tailored by channel & customer based on market evolution, business requirements, and portfolio goals.
- Create a category & customer-focused agenda to understand customer needs and support Joint Business Planning.
- Conduct market trend analyses, competitive landscape reviews, and consumer behaviour studies to inform pricing and revenue strategies.
- Coordinate commercial systems globally and support local adaptations where necessary.
- Implement commercial policies and procedures to maintain strong business practices.
- Define processes, establish best practices, and drive initiatives to optimize category performance while reviewing metrics and KPIs.
- Lead cross-functional business planning to align plans across functions for optimal outcomes.
- Oversee Shopper Marketing to ensure excellent in-store executions driven by consumer, customer & shopper insights.
- Drive Regional Net Revenue Management to identify value through mix, price, trade terms, promotion, and portfolio management.
- Establish actionable Net Revenue Management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Analyse market trends and competitors to develop revenue optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop pricing models and promotional strategies.
About you:
- Experience in broader commercial roles (Sales, Category, NRM, Account Management within FMCG/FMCH)
- Category / Channel Management Experience and Shopper Understanding
- Ability to analyse data from multiple/complex data sources and draw out key insights to drive performance
- Experience in aligning & building category visions cross functionally (Sales/ Category / Marketing)
- Proven track record of success in building capability within category & sales
- Good communication and collaborative work skills
- Strong people leadership for Commercial Excellence team and the business
- Tertiary qualification in related field such as Sales, Commerce, Business, or Marketing
