About the Team
The Compliance Team, which sits within the Legal & Compliance team at hummgroup, administer the hummgroup compliance framework and are directly responsible for governance and compliance advice and assistance to internal humm Business Units.
We are a relatively flat organisational structure, and as a member of the team you are accountable for end-to-end responsibility for your area of focus and will need to be flexible and able to take on additional and/or different accountabilities as required.
About the Role
The role has accountability for the performance and development of compliance tools across the business and acts as the primary conduit between external bodies as well as internal stakeholders, as well as the development of compliance and control frameworks (including with external vendors) and business stakeholders.
This role will be responsible for driving hummgroup’s “culture of excellence” in compliance activities across the business and in providing accurate, timely and effective support to other business units and relevant external and internal shared service functions.
What Does an Average Day Look Like? You will…
- Plan and coordinate operational activities to deliver compliance with applicable regulations and organisational policies.
- Develop and/or enhance the Group’s compliance management framework, plan and policies and ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented, tested and documented.
- Perform internal reviews and discreet investigations.
- Support the identification of compliance issues, including providing support to first line team and escalating them when necessary.
- Undertake the compliance assessment of incidents, including supporting reportable situation assessment processes.
- Investigate issues highlighted in compliance forums and assist in designing effective solutions where instances of non-compliance have been identified.
- Manage our obligation management tools.
- Providing direct support to business units for specialist compliance reporting, strategic business activities and other material project based and discrete activities.
- Manage the credit and financial services license annual certifications and lodgments for our licensed entities.
- Support group-wide compliance initiatives, including compliance framework development and implementation.
- Provide specialist compliance guidance and oversight to the business around compliance incident related remediations. Develop and deliver insight rich reporting to ensure that hummgroup’s Board and Executive Team are informed of current and emerging compliance issues.
