Make a meaningful impact
As Head of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), you will lead a high-profile function that enables the Bank to deliver on its strategic priorities through effective portfolio governance, prioritisation, and project delivery. You will own and continuously improve the Bank’s Portfolio Prioritisation and Project Management frameworks, ensuring it enables robust decision-making, transparency, delivery excellence, and alignment with the Bank’s objectives.
You will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Strategy and Portfolio Delivery functions to ensure strategic alignment, prioritisation of initiatives, and coordinated execution across the Bank’s change agenda.
In this role, you will:
Lead enterprise-wide portfolio reporting and insights to inform strategic decisions by the Bank’s Executive Committees.
Champion a culture of accountability amongst leaders and the project and change community to deliver sustainable outcomes to meet the current and future needs of the Bank.
Strengthen project and portfolio governance and assurance practices to ensure oversight, transparency, and confidence in the delivery of projects and initiatives.
Lead Enterprise Workload Prioritisation to optimise resource allocation, balance capacity across strategic and operational initiatives, and enable informed decision-making on trade-offs and delivery sequencing.
Play a key role in connecting strategy formulation, investment prioritisation, and delivery execution - ensuring the Bank’s strategic intent is translated into actionable, prioritised and well-governed change initiatives.
Provide expert advice on enterprise portfolio governance and project delivery frameworks.
Drive the uplift of project and change management capability and maturity across the organisation, enabling consistent delivery and continuous improvement.
About you
To be successful in role, you will bring:
Inspirational and resilient leadership – the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, foster a culture of accountability, lead a high-performing team with clarity and purpose, and navigate complexity with courage and conviction.
Enterprise Portfolio Management expertise – deep experience in leading enterprise-level portfolio governance, prioritisation, and delivery oversight, with a strong understanding of how to balance strategic execution, risk management, and resource optimisation.
Executive governance and reporting acumen – proven ability to prepare and present high-quality papers and insights for Executive Committees, Risk and Audit Committees, and Boards, with a strong grasp of governance expectations, risk oversight, and strategic investment decision-making.
Delivery and framework capability – demonstrated experience in designing and evolving project and portfolio management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile), coupled with a track record of uplifting delivery maturity across an organisation through capability development, coaching, and embedding consistent practices.
Collaborative and consultative approach – strong consulting and listening skills, with a history of building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, including executive committees and delivery teams.
