About the Role

We’re looking for a Head of Financial Lines to join our team. This role will be responsible for the overall growth and profitability of our Financial Lines portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. This position plays a crucial role with DUAL and will work closely with all levels of executive and senior management. We are open to applications from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Melbourne if you are willing to travel regularly to Sydney.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Development of the underwriting strategy for the Financial Lines portfolio in Australia and New Zealand
  • Overall responsibility of the profitability of the Financial Lines portfolio
  • Working alongside Regional Management team to grow our business in Australia and New Zealand
  • Providing strategic underwriting guidance including being a key referral point for the underwriting team
  • Working with Chief Underwriting Officer on maintaining and developing carrier relationships

About You

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Ten (10) years of relevant working experience in specialist Financial Lines roles
  • Thorough and in-depth understanding of the Financial Lines market in Australia and New Zealand
  • Demonstrated experience in product class and excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • An ability to work independently and be able to remain self-motivated
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willing to travel regularly to Sydney if not based in Sydney
