About the role
As the Head of Legal – Commercial Resolution & Disputes, you will lead the legal team responsible for managing Transurban’s disputes, litigation, regulatory investigations, claims management and claims prevention. This senior leadership role is central to shaping the effectiveness, culture and strategic direction of the Legal function, while ensuring timely, value-adding advice across complex commercial and operational matters. Lead and develop the CR&D legal team, driving a culture of high performance, wellbeing, inclusion and continuous improvement, aligned to Transurban’s leadership attributes.
Participate as a member of the Legal leadership team, working to strengthen and improve the operation, innovation and performance of the legal function.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Extensive legal experience in complex commercial environments and relevant industries, with deep expertise in disputes, litigation, investigations and claims management either in a private practice or in-house role.
Current practising certificate to enable the unsupervised interpretation of legislation and provision of legal advice.
Strong leadership capability, with experience in building high-performing teams, driving cultural alignment and influencing senior stakeholders
Exceptional communication, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret complex commercial concepts and provide strategic, risk-based advice.
A proactive and innovative mindset, including experience leveraging technology, data and modern legal practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and decision-making.
If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
