About Optizon

Optizon is a thriving e-commerce company behind multiple successful brands sold on Amazon.com. Our vision of delivering a 6-star experience to our customers through best-of-breed systems, data, and AI-powered innovation propels us forward and is at the heart of how we conduct our business. We are headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, but have a remote and dynamic team spread across various regions worldwide.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Head of Marketplace Operations to lead and optimize our Amazon operations across multiple brands. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited for someone with deep Amazon marketplace expertise, strong operational instincts, and the ability to drive performance across supply chain, customer experience, and AI-driven strategy in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Operations – Amazon Focus

  • Oversee day-to-day Amazon operations across multiple brands, ensuring optimal performance across listings, account health, pricing, fulfillment, and compliance.

  • Manage growth initiatives including new product launches, keyword optimization, promotions, and advertising strategies.

  • Monitor sales velocity, customer metrics, and profitability across brands to guide strategic decision-making.

  • Resolve high-impact issues with Amazon (e.g., listing suspensions, chargebacks, policy violations) quickly and effectively.

Supply Chain & Fulfillment

  • Direct end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, inventory forecasting, 3PL coordination, and FBA/FBM logistics.

  • Optimize inventory turnover and working capital while avoiding stockouts and overstock.

  • Collaborate with sourcing teams and suppliers to improve lead times, reduce cost of goods sold (COGS), and strengthen vendor reliability.

  • Ensure seamless integration of systems across order management, logistics, and warehouse operations.

Customer Experience & Support

  • Lead customer service strategy across all Amazon touchpoints, with a focus on maintaining excellent ratings and response time.

  • Implement SOPs and automation tools to streamline post-sale communication, returns, and warranty processes.

  • Drive initiatives that increase customer satisfaction, reduce negative feedback, and boost repeat purchases.

AI-Driven Operational Strategy

  • Leverage AI tools and automation platforms to enhance operations in areas like forecasting, ad performance, competitive analysis, and customer service.

  • Evaluate and implement AI-based solutions for product research, content optimization, marketing automation, and process improvement.

  • Stay ahead of emerging tech trends that can drive efficiency and edge in e-commerce operations.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Management

  • Manage and grow cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, and support.

  • Build scalable systems and infrastructure to support growth across multiple Amazon brands.

  • Work directly with the CEO and leadership team to align operational strategy with revenue and profitability goals.

  • Maintain and improve KPIs across operational areas — delivery speed, in-stock rates, customer satisfaction, and operational cost per order.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • 5+ years of experience in Amazon marketplace operations or e-commerce management.

  • Proven track record managing multi-brand Amazon accounts end-to-end.

  • Deep knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, FBA/FBM, and account health management.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Experience with supply chain management, 3PL coordination, and inventory optimization.

  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools for e-commerce operations.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional management skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience managing Amazon PPC and advertising strategy.

  • Background in consultancy or agency environments managing multiple client brands.

  • Experience mentoring or building operations teams.

  • Experience managing 7-figure brands/accounts on Amazon.com
