Job Summary
As the Head of Product, Payments, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for Global Blue Payments in Australia. You will lead a team to deliver innovative and market-leading payment solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and drive business growth.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for all payment products within the Australian market, aligning with global product initiatives and local market demands.
* Lead the entire product lifecycle from ideation and research through development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
* Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify new opportunities and inform product development decisions.
* Define detailed product requirements (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, design, sales, marketing, operations, and legal teams to ensure successful product delivery and market adoption.
* Manage and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all payment products, analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the payments landscape.
* Represent Global Blue Payments as a subject matter expert in client meetings, industry events, and internal discussions.
* Manage relationships with third-party payment providers, partners, and vendors.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* 10+ years of progressive experience in product management within the payments industry, with a strong focus on online and/or in-store payment processing.
* 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring product teams.
* Deep understanding of the Australian payments landscape, including regulatory requirements, schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, eftpos), and local payment methods.
* Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling complex payment products.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment.
* Experience with Agile development methodologies.
* Proficiency in product management tools and analytics platforms.
