We’re now looking for a Head of Quality Assurance & Tooling to play a critical leadership role within our Global Trading and Market Data (GTMD) Platform and Architecture function.
This is a senior leadership opportunity to drive reliability, quality, automation and operational excellence across mission-critical global platforms.
Some of the amazing things you’ll be involved in
Setting and executing the GTMD-wide strategy for Quality Assurance, Tooling and Site Reliability Engineering
Elevating reliability, scalability and performance across distributed, mission-critical environments
Embedding modern quality engineering practices including automation-first testing, contract testing and defect prevention
Designing performance and load testing strategies for high-throughput, low-latency systems
Driving automation and reducing manual effort through modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code
Leading operational excellence across production, including monitoring, incident response and continuous improvement
Partnering with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Delivery leaders to improve ways of working at scale
Uplifting engineering standards, production readiness and release quality across global teams
Providing senior leadership during major incidents and supporting escalation when required
Identifying and implementing forward-looking improvements aligned to evolving technology trends, including AI-enabled tooling
What you will bring
Proven experience leading and transforming Quality Assurance strategy within complex engineering environments
Deep expertise in modern test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, K6, Selenium)
Strong knowledge of contract testing (Pact), test data management and ephemeral environment strategies
Experience operating mission-critical systems across cloud and hybrid environments
Strong understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, ECS, Kafka, Elasticache and modern cloud-native architectures
Experience with CI/CD tooling (Buildkite, Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Strong engineering capability across languages such as Python, C#, Bash or Kotlin
Experience with observability platforms spanning metrics, logs and distributed tracing
Strong networking, database and enterprise platform knowledge (e.g. Postgres, SQL Server, Windows environments)
A security-first mindset embedded across architecture and delivery pipelines
The ability to influence and collaborate across global technical and non-technical stakeholders
A customer-focused, outcome-driven approach with strong decision-making capability
