Roche Products is looking for a Head of Supply Chain (titled internally as Chapter Lead Supply Chain). Supply Chain Chapter Lead builds a diverse and inclusive team, gathers up-to-date knowledge, and surveys future trends related to the chapter’s area of focus. As well as identifying business opportunities, this role co-creates the mission, purpose, and expectations for the chapter.

Supply Chain Chapter Lead is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply of Roche products to customers and patients. You enable integrated and sustainable Supply Chain solutions by driving development and alignment of strategic plans and supply chain capabilities (i.e. processes, systems, skills). You partner locally, regionally and globally to develop and execute product lifecycle and network strategies and design and optimize end-to-end Supply Chains solutions.

In this leadership role you will demonstrate Creative Leadership competencies and play the roles of Visionary, Architect, Catalyst and Coach; developing and empowering Roche employees to innovate, collaborate, and be authentic to create their own impact.  Through the development of chapter members, you will maintain a ready pool of talent to be drawn upon by squads, work streams and Community Leads to deliver on Roche Australia’s short and long-term priorities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Align Supply Chain function to the company strategy and vision
  • Drive strategic direction of Supply Chain adjusting to changes in the operating environment ensuring agile, expert, best in class business partnering 
  • Leads team of Customer Logistics Partners, Customer Value Stream Partners and Medicines Assistance Coordinators responsible for Warehousing and Distribution, Managing third party 4PL relationship and contract, Demand Management, Access to Medicines Program, Business Partner and Tender management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Contribute to, and implement regional / global Supply Chain policies, processes and initiatives. Act as an affiliate Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert sharing local best practice and learnings
  • Act as the Head of Production - Authorized Person and duties are described in the national requirements

Who you are;

  • Degree qualified within logistics, engineering, or life sciences related fields with APICS or equivalent certification.
  • Extensive logistics, distribution, customer service, warehouse, supply chain partnering and related experience, with experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry in the similar capacity.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and other business management software (SAP preferred).
  • You thrive in leading high performing teams and are passionate about developing team members. 
  • You have advanced risk management skills and thorough knowledge of OH&S, GxP, Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, and other relevant standards and guidelines. 
  • You are able to make sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems, anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • You are self-motivated with high ethical and compliance standards.
  • With your organisation savvy you can maneuver comfortably through complex policy, process and people-related organisational dynamics and apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organisation’s goals.
  • You can communicate in a concise and clear manner that supports expeditious and effective decision-making and builds strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
