The Opportunity
The Head of Technical - Assets and Bids will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Concessions in ANZ by providing essential technical advice for both existing infrastructure assets and tender processes. This position is crucial in ensuring that ACCIONA's Concessions projects align with the strategic and operational objectives of the business, guaranteeing the proper technical development of these projects.
Key responsibilities:

Lead Technical Evaluations: Oversee bid assessments, ensuring alignment with ACCIONA’s standards and strategic goals.

Scope Management: Allocate and manage scope between D&C and O&M, driving clarity in technical responsibilities and milestones.

Innovative WoL Model: Develop and apply a Whole-of-Life models to foster innovation and deliver value-for-money outcomes.

Strategic Leadership: Provide guidance to project and bidding teams, ensuring optimal performance, regulatory compliance, and successful project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, internal & stakeholders, and technical advisers, ensuring effective project integration and execution
Required Skills and Competencies

Extensive experience in technical assessment for PPP bids and operational management within the infrastructure and concessions sectors.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects and strategic initiatives successfully (with a particular focus on road projects).

Ability to effectively engage and communicate with senior leaders and board members and work effectively with cross functional teams.

In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
