WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Tealium is seeking a world-class Head of Technical Solutions & Ecosystem Development to join our global sales organization.  This position is responsible for hiring, developing and allocating all pre-sales solution consulting resources and CDP strategist resources within the Asia Pacific region, driving strategic growth, interacting with senior technologists and business leaders, and leading technical initiatives. Solutions Consultants utilize technology and digital marketing expertise to support Tealium's sales efforts by positioning our cloud-based SaaS solutions against those of our competitors while translating the technical merits of the solution into value for clients. We are seeking an outcome-driven, creatively minded, solution-focused leader to influence the ecosystem and secure the technical win for Tealium in its go-to-market pursuits.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • As the technical win leader in APJ, you will have a seat at the APJ leadership table and represent the region internally and across the globe as appropriate.

  • Responsible for leading the technical voice for APJ within our ecosystem of CDP practitioners, technical leaders, partner wizards and technical relationship owners. They see you as a trusted advisor and co-innovator to support their organisation. You own a nurture program with this network for the benefit of the success of the region and have the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholder levels - C-Suite through to practitioners.

  • You will be responsible for leading (hiring, retaining, growing and rewarding) the Solutions Engineering and CDP Strategist team in Australia, Asia and Japan.

  • You turn your mind towards innovation with first-party-data collection, enrichment and activation with leading enterprise consumer brands in APJ and engage in nurture programs across our ecosystem to support their purchase and adoption lifecycle with Tealium.

  • You will tailor our global product positioning charter for relevancy to APJ as appropriate to our technical stakeholder sets across various customer sales and retention motions and support the evolution of pre-sales demonstration environments and materials 

  • As a technical role-model and senior technical leader in APJ, you will provide product and technical guidance to GTM representatives.

  • You role-model and guide the team through the technical win in sales motions and review quotations, RFI/ RFQ/ RFP materials and security assessments

  • You contribute field knowledge and feedback to direct future product enhancements and innovation.

  • Assist in assessment of potential product features, providing input on prioritization

  • Assist in tracking of product deliverables and communicating issues to regional teams

  • 40% + travel

WHAT YOU BRING TO TEALIUM

  • 5+ years of experience managing individual contributors

  • 8+ years experience as a sales engineer or implementation engineer working with enterprise SaaS product(s) across Asia Pacific and Japan  

  • Candidates should have working experience with one or more Customer Data Platforms or similar first-party data solutions. 

  • Technical thought leadership within the industry and trusted voice to the ecosystem

  • Demonstrates polished presentation skills and gravitas in delivery that demonstrates technical proficiency, digital marketing knowledge, business, and communication skills

  • Ability to assess customer requirements, identify business problems, and demonstrate differentiated value-led solutions in a competitive market.

  • Experience leading B2B Sales Processes and methodologies, in particular with Enterprise Segments across Asia, Japan and ANZ.

  • Value Engineering exposure (Value Selling preferred)

  • Ideal skillset will include the following:

    • Digital Marketing Vendor Installation, Management and Troubleshooting

    • Understanding of JavaScript "Tags" - event handling / JSON

    • Web Technologies - AJAX, jQuery, HTML

    • Mobile and Mobile/platform apps - iOS, Android, Blackberry and emerging web technologies

    • Web Development Tools

    • REST, SOAP and other APIs formats

    • Structured and Unstructured Data concepts

    • Management/Decision Making/Problem Solving Skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to encourage teamwork and involvement of less experienced individuals (providing them with necessary exposure)
