The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our APAC Human Resources (HR) team based in our Erskine Park office in Sydney for a parental leave contract of 12 months. Reporting to the Senior HR Director, APAC in this true generalist role, you will be accountable for partnering with a diverse client group of blue and white collar workers based throughout Australia and New Zealand. The HRBP provides support in the areas of organisational design, talent management & development, performance, coaching & counselling, compensation & benefits, industrial relations and employee engagement.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to implement and embed the global and local HR strategy and use your commercial and HR acumen to guide the region on its key people priorities.  
  • Supporting local commercial objectives with organisational design, talent and change management.
  • Partnering with people leaders to enhance employee engagement, inclusion and diversity.
  • Undertaking periodic talent assessment and succession planning for your client group as well as supporting ongoing individual and group talent development.
  • Supporting people leaders with performance management and development, coaching and counselling.
  • Supporting Compensation & Benefits process including coordination of annual compensation and benefits reviews, overseeing out of cycle changes and supporting with bonus/incentive plan design.
  • Leading workplace investigations and management of workplace disputes.
  • Maintaining all people processes and records within our Workday HRIS.
  • Creation and coordination of internal communications in collaboration with HR Advisor and other internal stakeholders.

About you

You will have a strong generalist and operational background with the ability to work strategically with senior stakeholders. Exposure to NZ HR legislation would be beneficial but not essential. In addition, you will thrive on developing strong relationships with your stakeholders, be comfortable working autonomously and be adept at working within a matrix style environment where you will need to draw upon our HR Centres of Excellence (CoE’s) globally to deliver local initiatives. You will have at least five years of experience working at a Business Partner level and ideally hold a qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline. Exposure to a working with a large HRIS (Workday preferred) is also required.
