Job Description:

HR Business Partner – TAG (Australia)

Permanent | Full Time | Sydney

Make content that lands.

At TAG, part of the dentsu group, we help the world’s biggest brands bring bold ideas to life—at global scale, with local relevance. With over 50 years of production expertise, advanced technology platforms and teams across 19+ markets, TAG operates at the intersection of creativity, production, data and technology.

As TAG continues to grow and evolve across Australia and JAPAC, we’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to help shape the people experiences that enable our work to land—consistently, sustainably and meaningfully.

What your typical day will look like

As the HR Business Partner, you’ll partner operationally and strategically with leaders across TAG Australia. This is a hands‑on, commercially minded role where you’ll support a fast‑paced, transformation‑led business by delivering practical, scalable people solutions across the full employee lifecycle.

You’ll play a critical role in supporting leaders through change, lifting people capability, and creating the conditions for high performance, engagement and growth.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with leaders to deliver TAG’s people strategy, supporting organisational change, restructures and evolving operating models
  • Coaching leaders to build people capability, improve team effectiveness and navigate complex or high‑risk conversations
  • Leading and resolving complex employee relations matters, with a strong focus on risk management and sustainable outcomes
  • Using people data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, translating these into clear, commercially sound recommendations

A bit about you

  • 4–8+ years’ experience in a broad HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist role
  • Strong background in employee relations, including investigations, performance management and change scenarios
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders in creative, production, digital or professional services environments
  • Comfortable working in matrixed or global organisations, with a collaborative, pragmatic and resilient approach

Why work with us

At TAG, people do their best work when they’re not stuck in bureaucracy or doing work that doesn’t add value. We believe in creating smart structures, clear frameworks and capable leaders—so teams can focus on what matters.

What that means for you:

  • Career development connection with our wider JAPAC HR community
  • The chance to influence culture, capability and growth in a global production business that’s evolving alongside the industry

Working with us

TAG’s culture is built on our Four Cs — we’re Collaborative, Connected, Compassionate and Celebratory. We work as one team across regions, disciplines and cultures, supporting each other to do work we’re proud of.

You’ll work closely with the ANZ and JAPAC HR leadership team, while staying deeply connected to the local business—balancing global consistency with local relevance.

Inclusion and Diversity

We’re proud to be different and that starts with our people. At TAG and dentsu, we believe in equal opportunities for everyone. We don’t define people by race, gender, sexual orientation, age or disability. We want everyone to bring their full self to work—because that’s how the best work gets made.

If you’re a commercially minded HR Business Partner who enjoys being close to the business and supporting people through change, we’d love to hear from you.
