Job Description

The Project

ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2, Sydney’s third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.

Project scope includes:

  • Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction
  • Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels
  • Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway

In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join the HR team at our main office in North Sydney, this role will be required to…

Key accountabilities for the position:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including managing correspondence, scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Take the lead in onboarding new hires post-selection.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR information system, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and HR documentation as required by the team.
  • Assist in managing employee queries, providing accurate information or directing them to the appropriate team member.
  • Support the planning and execution of HR initiatives and events, such as employee engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and alignment on HR-related matters.
  • Spend at least 1 day per week at Glebe Island to support the team.

Required Skills and Competencies

Capability & Experience you will need to have:

  • Qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Psychology, Business or similar.
  • Proven experience as a HR Administrator in the construction/Engineering field.
  • Prior experience working on major infrastructure project.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanour.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all HR matters.
  • Fluency in Spanish would be highly beneficial.

Base Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum.
