The Opportunity
The People & Culture Business Partner (P&CBP) partners with executives and senior leaders to deliver people strategies that support commercial outcomes. This role combines strategic partnership with hands-on HR expertise, focusing on leadership capability, employee engagement, and building a high-performing culture.
As a trusted advisor, you will provide coaching, guidance and practical HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle, while supporting leaders to develop engaged teams and drive business performance.
This role is a 6 month maximum term contract covering parental leave.

What you’ll be doing
- Partner with executives and leadership teams to develop and implement people strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Coach and support managers to build leadership capability and improve employee engagement.
- Act as the primary HR advisor and escalation point for employee relations and people matters.
- Lead Talent Acquisition Partner(s) to deliver strong recruitment outcomes and workforce planning.
- Design and implement learning, development and leadership initiatives across business units.
- Identify high-performing and high-potential employees and implement retention and development strategies.
- Support career development, internal mobility and succession planning across teams.
- Collaborate with marketing and internal stakeholders to strengthen and promote the employer brand.
- Provide HR insights and reporting, using data to support workforce planning and decision-making.
- Manage key employee lifecycle processes including performance reviews, salary reviews and policy implementation.
- Contribute to HR programs, policies and initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness of the People & Culture function.
You will bring:
- Proven experience as a HR/People & Culture Business Partner or a HR Advisor looking for an opportunity to step up
- Strong ability to build trusted relationships with executives and leaders, providing both strategic insight and pragmatic advice.
- Demonstrated experience across the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations, performance management, workforce planning and leadership development.
- A track record of coaching and influencing leaders to build high-performing and engaged teams.
- Experience working in fast-paced or evolving environments, balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use people data and insights to inform decision-making.
- Experience partnering with multiple business units with distinct strategies, priorities and stakeholder needs.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to drive continuous improvement in people practices and processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Psychology or a related discipline (desirable).
