We’re hiring a HR Generalist!

  • 🗓️ Part-time (22.8 hours/week) | Permanent
  • 📍 Preferred location: Sydney
  • 🏡 Hybrid working: 1 day in CBD office per week

Does a competitive salary package with company stock, 3 wellness days per year, a flexible benefits package of $1000 per year and a fantastic team culture spark your interest?

👋 Meet AlayaCare! We’re a fast-growing SaaS scale-up on a mission to transform aged and disability care across Australia, Canada, the US and beyond. Our platform helps care providers deliver exceptional service in homes, communities, and residential settings.

We’re big on Tech with Purpose and passionate about improving lives - all while having a little fun along the way (we’ve been known to enjoy a team lunch or three).

The Role:

We’re on the lookout for a HR all-rounder who’s ready to bring their creative EVP skills, candidate-obsessed mindset & analytical HR brain to the table. Reporting to the Senior Regional HR Manager, you'll help to drive our People & Talent solutions for our incredible ANZ team.

We are open to this part time role being worked across 3 full days/week with Monday/Friday anchors, or spread out across the week with shorter days.

Your days will involve:

  • Talent acquisition - Owning the full ANZ hiring journey: turning great briefs into standout ads, running smooth interviews and checks, preparing offers and contracts, keeping Greenhouse (our ATS) data sharp while supporting ANZ and global TA / EVP projects
  • HR operations & employee lifecycle - Being the goto person for everyday HR questions and letters, keeping employee records accurate, and making onboarding, offboarding and key workflows (office attendance, RTW exemptions, salary sacrifice approvals) run smoothly
  • HR business partnering - Partnering with the Senior Regional HR Manager to support performance, conduct and engagement, giving managers practical firstline HR advice backed by clear people data, and building your experience in improvement plans, restructures, investigations and keeping HR policies and guides up to date
  • Office management & employee experience - coordinating daytoday office needs (especially Sydney but assisting with our other ANZ offices), supporting WHS admin, helping deliver ANZ engagement activities and events, and playing an active role in a positive, inclusive office culture that reflects AlayaCare core values
  • Projects & collaboration - Contributing to ANZ and global HR projects by gathering data, preparing materials, coordinating meetings and building strong working relationships with Global People & Culture colleagues across regions.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Bring at least 2 years of experience in TA/HR, including running end-to-end recruitment and supporting generalist HR activities like on/offboarding and HR documentation
  • Have a relevant qualification (HR, Business, Psychology or similar) or equivalent hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth or tech/SaaS environment
  • Have an open & learning mindset, eager to take on ad-hoc HR tasks & improve processes where possible
  • Have experience using AI to increase efficiency where possible
  • Are comfortable working with HRIS and ATS tools, keeping employee and recruitment data accurate and up to date
  • Have a solid grounding in Australian employment basics, office admin and WHS, and are keen to keep building your HR and ER knowledge
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully, building strong relationships with stakeholders & being accountable
  • Are known for your organisation, detail-focused and proactive nature - you plan your workload, meet deadlines, flag risks early and handle confidential information with professionalism.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have worked in HR/Talent within SaaS/Tech
  • Have experience with Greenhouse/BrightHire AI/Bamboo HR

We believe great work should be rewarded. Here’s how we show our appreciation:

  • 🏡Choose your own 1 day/week in office (you can do more or the rest can be WFH)
  • 💰 Competitive salary + company stock (RSUs)
  • 🧘 3 Wellness days per year
  • 💳 $1,000/year flexible benefits package
  • 👶 22 weeks company-paid parental leave
  • 🧡 2 days company-paid volunteer leave to support causes you care about
  • 🍕 Team lunches, events & wellness activities
  • 🤝 A genuinely open, inclusive, and collaborative culture
  • 💡 A chance to do purposeful work in the fast-paced tech sector, whilst making real impact in the care space.

Belonging matters.

We’re committed to building an organisation that reflects the communities we serve. Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility aren’t just buzzwords here, they’re woven into everything we do.

Need adjustments to participate in the recruitment process? We’ve got you. Just reach out to our HR team: [email protected]. We do not accept unsolicited CVs from Recruitment Agencies.
