Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Hydraulic Services Designer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle, or any other of GHD’s Northern NSW offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity to and make an impact on local Buildings projects in our region, and to work as part of our global team in a large and well-established international consultancy, with your role offering great scope for career growth.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Delivering major hydraulic services for buildings projects that shape our built environment, including:

    • Fire services (hydrants, hose reels and sprinklers) 

    • Trade and sanitary waste 

    • Gas supply

    • Potable and non-potable water 

    • Stormwater drainage and water re-cycling

    • ESD (Hydraulic services)

  • Providing clients with technical guidance and strategic advice, while developing and maintaining strong and supportive client relationships
  • Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture

What would you bring to the team?

  • A relevant diploma, degree or trade qualification or applicable ongoing studies 
  • 5 or more years of experience within the hydraulic design industry for building services 
  • AutoCAD/Revit/BIM skills are desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.
