Role Overview: Identity Solutions Lead

We’re seeking an Identity Solutions Lead to join our growing team in Australia. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, combining technical expertise with business insight. You’ll play a key role across the entire customer journey—supporting pre-sales, driving implementation, and ensuring post-sales success. This is a customer-facing subject matter expert (SME) role that bridges technical depth with business value, supporting both Sales and Customer Success functions to deliver secure, scalable identity solutions and help drive adoption of Daon’s biometric and authentication technologies.

 

Customer Expertise:

  • Advise on digital identity, biometric authentication, and proofing.
  • Provide guidance on compliance frameworks (GDPR, PSD2, eIDAS, FIDO). 

Sales Support & Pre-Sales Engineering:

  • Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities and shape solutions.
  • Deliver demos and lead technical responses for RFPs/POCs.
  • Translate customer needs/business requirements into secure solution architectures. 

Post-Sales Engagement & Success:

  • Support implementation and integration alongside Customer Success Managers.
  • Maximise platform adoption and business outcomes for customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting and enhancements. 

Advisory & Enablement:

  • Design secure, scalable solutions using Daon’s product suite.
  • Provide best-practice guidance and feed insights into product roadmap planning.
  • Enable internal teams through training and represent Daon at industry events.

 

About You

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years in identity, authentication, or cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC) and biometric technologies.
  • Experience in SaaS platforms and enterprise client engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.

 

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with FIDO standards and regulatory landscapes.
  • Relevant technical certifications such as CISSP, FIDO Certified, PMP.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 

 Education/Training/Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ industry experience in project management within identity verification, biometric authentication, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and communication, with the ability to inspire teamwork and collective achievement.
  • Expertise in document verification, biometric authentication, and fraud detection.
  • Proven project management in SaaS/hosted environments.
  • Experience delivering market-leading identity verification end-user processes.
  • Strong background in software and systems integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple workstreams.
  • Recognised for rapid adaptability and impact in fast-paced setting.
  • Solid planning and budget management skills.
  • Skilled at managing diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience mentoring team members and supporting regulatory documentation.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • PMP, Prince2, Agile certification (or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Honours degree or equivalent qualification.
