Job Description

SAE is seeking a passionate and strategic Industry Learning Partner (ILP) to elevate student employability and graduate outcomes across our national creative education network. This pivotal role builds and nurtures professional relationships with industry leaders, alumni, and creative organisations to deliver high-impact Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements, mentoring programs, and graduate engagement initiatives. The ILP facilitates national and local mentoring opportunities, connecting students and recent graduates with experienced professionals and successful alumni, while ensuring consistency and measurable outcomes across all programs.

Working cross-functionally with campus leadership, academic teams, marketing, and student experience, the ILP drives strategic industry engagement, coordinates placement logistics, and contributes to curriculum alignment through valuable insights and feedback. From onboarding mentors and hosts to validating non-placement WIL activities and ensuring compliance with TEQSA, Fair Work, WHS, and insurance standards, the ILP plays a critical role in preparing confident, industry-ready graduates. Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in career development, human resources, education, or creative industries
  • Experience in career services, industry liaison, or student placement roles
  • Understanding of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) models and career development principles
  • Ability to operate within compliance frameworks (Fair Work, WHS, higher education standards)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building industry and stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in CRM or database systems for contact management and reporting

Desirable Criteria:

  • Network within creative industries and creative technologies
  • Experience developing student mentoring, alumni engagement, or industry partnership programs
