About VivCourt

We’re VivCourt, a Trading firm like you’ve never seen before. We use our smarts and leading-edge technology to trade on financial markets worldwide, but we're saying no to how it’s always been done. We’re showing the industry it’s possible to make money and put people first.

Everything we do at VivCourt is designed to help you be your best. We’ve built an open, collaborative, and inclusive culture where you can thrive and perform, because we believe that profit is a byproduct of a committed workforce.

Team & Role Overview

Our technology team is part of our edge and develops a variety of in-house hardware and software, which our traders use to compete in the market. Our Engineering experience team provides high-quality shared tools that remove tedium, add guardrails, unlock visibility into production, and empower our Engineers to stay focused on what matters. We’re looking for someone to join the team, helping drive continuous improvement and unlock new capabilities in how our engineers build, test, deploy and manage the systems in our on-premises environment.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and maintain our in-house and third-party tools used by the Engineering team to build, manage, and optimise the applications and underlying infrastructure.
  • Sit with teams to understand their workflows in-depth and drive improvements and adoption of shared tooling.
Who you are
  • You've spent 3+ years as a Software Engineer, using shared productivity tools, and have opinions on how they could be improved.
  • Tools and abstractions speed you up, but you know how they work under the hood and can build ‘from scratch’.
  • You enjoy the process of optimising your environment and automating away the mundane.
  • You like to understand the big picture before getting stuck into the details.
  • You’re happy collaborating extensively with other engineers, walking in their shoes, listening to feedback and taking initiative to make improvements.
Behaviours we value
  • Open-minded and inquisitive when facing challenges or constraints.
  • Owning your changes; testing thoroughly, releasing boldly and fixing fast when things break.
  • Curious to understand the depth and breadth of your tech stack.
  • Comfortable getting closer to the metal, and can break out a profiler to shave time off the hot path.
Skills & Experience
  • Advanced proficiency with either Python, Go and/or similar programming languages.
  • Proficiency working in a Linux environment, including containers.
  • Experience with relational and time-series databases.
  • Exposure to networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with Ansible is beneficial.
What You’ll Get
  • Competitive salary and bonus
  • Meaningful influence over core trading systems
  • Learning and development support
  • Hybrid work (3 days in the office)
  • Free food, coffee, gym classes, social activities, and an annual company trip
  • A collaborative, curious, high-performance culture
Our Commitment to Inclusion

We bring talented people together to do exceptional work. Whoever you are and wherever you’re from, you’ll find a place to belong and grow at VivCourt. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, genders, and abilities.
