What You’ll Do
Product & Technology - Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstra's software and IT systems, working on some really cutting-edge technologies.
- Apply domain expertise to manage the delivery, integration, operationalisation and lifecycle management of relevant systems, solutions and interrelated components across technology streams
- Collaborate with technology partners and diverse stakeholder groups to develop and implement fit for purpose solutions
- Manage the optimisation of deployments from test into production across the operational support system environments
- Design system lifecycle plans and identify improvement opportunities for solutions to meet performance and operational requirements to achieve business outcomes
- Identifies system risks and develop mitigation actions to support the business to address technical issues that have some complexities
- Continuously identifies innovative ways to improve current processes, systems and solutions to better meet stakeholder and business needs
About You
- 5+ years of Infrastructure network security experience.
- Solid experience with major firewall platforms (Checkpoint, Palo Alto etc.). Certification in any of these platforms is a plus.
- Sound working knowledge of network concepts like switching, dynamic routing protocols, static and rule-based routing, etc.,
- Proven knowledge on cloud technologies (VPC, peering, gateways, SD-WAN secure fabric).
- Proven knowledge of encryption and tunneling protocols (PKI, IPSec, SSL VPN, TLS, IKE, IKEv2, etc.)
- Understanding of application protocols in context of OSI network layers and content inspection (Load-balancing, WAF, IPS, IDS, etc.)
- Understanding of baseline security requirements and platform hardening principles.
- Working knowledge on Security scan, compliance and remediate tool like Tenable Nessus.
- Working knowledge on SolarWinds NPM, NCM & NTA.
- Experience in IT network/infrastructure design & documentation (such as HLD, LLD, Visio diagrams & PPT presentations).
- Solid experience in Datacenter support (Rack, Cable, Power, Mount / Unmount devices etc.,).
- Willingness & readiness for operations & on-site support during non-office hours to security alerts, event and notifications.
