The Role: 

This hands-on role, suited for someone who has a strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, cloud technologies, troubleshooting skills and who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment to optimise system performance.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Work closely with the Infrastructure and Engineering Teams, assisting in the day-to-day performance management of the infrastructure, providing operational expertise and guidance to improve system efficiency.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including network, hardware and software problems.

  • Implementing and maintaining security policies, patch updates and mitigating security threats

  • Methodical approach in applying system changes and updates to minimise operational risks.

  • Work with datacenter and cloud technologies.

  • Participate in an on-call roster.

     

Ideal Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems

  • Knowledge in Virtualisation Technology

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals

  • Experience in scripting (Shell, Bash, PowerShell etc)

  • Experience with Ansible or similar tools.

  • Experience with AWS (Certification is required)

     

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in preventing and mitigating Security Risks

  • A passion for open source technologies.

  • Knowledge with developers tools (JIRA, Git, Teamcity etc)

  • Excellent documentation skills.
