The Reserve Bank of Australia are looking for an Infrastructure Solution Designer to join the team! In this role, you will be working collaboratively with a dedicated team of product owners, analysts, engineers, and architects to deliver the solution design for key Banking and Payments Systems initiatives. Have ownership of the solution design documents and ensure that the solution uplifts our capabilities for our customers.

About you
You will have a relevant background and experience of infrastructure solution design for IT Systems and Applications, experience working with financial, banking or payments systems would be highly regarded.

Relevant background and experience of solution design for On-Prem/hybrid IT Systems and Applications, experience working with financial, banking or payments systems would be highly regarded.

Knowledge of best practice solution architecture design, solution delivery, security and integration patterns

Experience working with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop designs, in line with the enterprise architecture patterns and practices.

Must have a holistic view and experience in technology stacks - including Infrastructure components (Virtualization, Storage, Network), automation tools, enterprise applications and integration.

Experience on Microsoft Azure, cloud practices would be a plus

Interest and experience in at least one of the following areas: -

On-Prem (VMware, UCS, High Availability, Networking, Storage) Infrastructure technologies

Cloud / container technologies

Backend application w/database development

Have a curious and accountable mindset

An analytical mindset and the ability to take a holistic approach to solving complex problems and with the capability to deep dive when necessary.

Your team
Within the Information Technology (IT) department, you will be part of a collaborative team of IT Banking Systems actively working across key banking & payments services, including additional value-added industry New Payment Platform (NPP) services, new evolution of Banking systems using cloud/container/real time integration platforms, key internal banking, and security initiatives.
In this role, you will contribute to supporting, developing, and transforming Banking systems that support the Reserve Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives. While working for the Bank you will also get a chance to serve the community.
