Positioned within the Engineering FutureLab function, the HealthFutures team has the exciting challenge to uncover and develop innovative product opportunities in emerging areas of healthcare.
We are seeking someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys uncovering and connecting disparate ideas and knowledge to explore what might be possible. Scope of work:
- In-depth review of clinical and scientific research, analysis of data to generate insights to inform strategic decisions
- Identification of innovation opportunity areas for Discovery and product development activity
- Documentation and presentation of findings and recommendations to team and various stakeholders
- Generation, development and testing of innovative solution concepts and prototypes
- User evaluation trials, collection of data and evidence generation to guide and support design directions
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation projects
- Outreach and cultivation of partnerships with the external scientific and healthcare community

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Science, or other relevant degree.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience
- Applies functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems or execute specialized projects
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Demonstrates appropriate technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
