This role is in office Monday to Thursday.

The Role:

Blue Owl is seeking an Associate to support business development, fundraising, and client relationship management efforts within the Institutional Capital team based in Sydney. The role will primarily support coverage of institutional investors across Australia while partnering closely with colleagues across the broader APAC, London, and New York teams. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple facets of Blue Owl's business and contribute to the continued growth of the firm's institutional client franchise in the region. The ideal candidate is collaborative, commercially minded, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Institutional Capital fundraising efforts and ongoing client relationship management activities across Australia.

  • Partner with senior sales professionals on investor outreach, meeting preparation, follow-up, and pipeline management.

  • Assist with opportunity tracking, investor mapping, and market intelligence efforts across institutional channels.

  • Create, customize, and distribute marketing materials and investor presentations.

  • Coordinate responses to investor requests, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and other fundraising-related inquiries.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Blue Owl's investment strategies, fund offerings, and market positioning.

  • Work closely with Product Specialists and subject matter experts to stay current on product developments and market updates.

  • Maintain accurate records and activity tracking within the firm's CRM system.

  • Coordinate with sales, product, marketing, operations, compliance, legal, tax, and other internal teams to support investor needs.

  • Assist with conferences, industry events, investor meetings, and other business development initiatives.

  • Collaborate regularly with colleagues across APAC, London, and New York to ensure consistent messaging and execution of fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in financial services, asset management, private markets, investment banking, investor relations, fundraising, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in institutional sales, client relationship management, and alternative investments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with institutional investors and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems.

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies
