The Intralogistics Systems Consultant supports sales and delivery of intralogistics solutions, analyses client needs, designs solutions, and ensures successful project implementation.
We are seeking a highly motivated Intralogistics Systems Consultant to support the sales and delivery of intralogistics solutions, including warehouse automation, slotting analysis and software. This role bridges the gap between technical expertise and business development, working closely with clients, sales teams, and project managers to analyze customer needs, design solutions, and ensure successful project implementation. This full time position is to be based in Sydney and shall report to the Director Life Cycle Services Australia and New Zealand.
Your tasks
Sales Support & Pre-Sales Activities:
- Collaborate with the team to understand client requirements and propose tailored intralogistics solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop business cases for automation and intralogistics projects.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and demonstrations for clients.
- Assist in responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
- Provide technical expertise in meetings with potential clients and stakeholders.
- Solution Design & Consulting:
- Analyze customer warehouse and logistics operations to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Develop process flows, layouts, and system specifications based on customer requirements.
- Conduct ROI (Return on Investment) and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis for proposed solutions.
- Project Delivery & Implementation:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and implementation teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Act as a consultant during the implementation phase, ensuring that the solution meets customer expectations.
- Troubleshoot and provide recommendations to optimize system performance.
- Support user training and change management efforts for customer teams.
- Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in intralogistics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance solution offerings and drive innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in intralogistics, warehouse automation consulting.
- Strong understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), WCS (Warehouse Control Systems), robotics, and automation technologies.
- Experience with intralogistics simulation tools and data analytics is a plus.
- Ability to analyze operational data and translate it into business insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel (advanced), Power BI, and simulation tools is an advantage.
