About this role
As an Investment Associate, you will be responsible for supporting infrastructure equity investments across Australia and New Zealand.
In this role, you will provide critical support across all aspects of the investment lifecycle including:
Financial Analysis: You will undertake the evaluation of new infrastructure equity investment opportunities, including performing complex financial modelling, valuation and sensitivity analysis.
Due diligence: You will support the team conducting thorough due diligence, including commercial, operational, financial / tax and legal reviews. Quantification of commercial risks through sensitivity analysis and stress testing under various assumptions.
Investment Memos: You will assist in the preparation of investment memos, presentations, and reports to support decision-making processes. This includes research and analysis of market trends, industry developments and macroeconomic factors that may impact investment performance.
Deal execution: You will provide support during the deal execution process, including documentation and coordination with advisors
Portfolio Management: You will assist in the ongoing monitoring of portfolio assets (including supporting management teams) and conduct routine valuation activities
Investor Relations: You will support the preparation of investor presentations, quarterly updates and annual reports
Required Experience:
2-years plus of experience in investment banking, corporate advisory or infrastructure investments
Previous experience working on infrastructure investments (e.g. energy / renewables, transportation, utilities, digital) is highly desirable
Strong financial modelling skills (including an ability to model complex capital structures associated with infrastructure business) as well as experience with various valuation techniques (DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Strong familiarity with VBA is highly desirable.
