Job Description
We are the industry leading team, with top league table for non-JPY bond underwriting of Japan's leading corporates and financial institutions.
As an analyst within the team, you will be responsible for assisting the origination and execution of debt related transactions for Japanese corporates / financial institutions / sovereign supranational and agency (SSA).
Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions
  • Support client pitching and negotiation through the preparation of clear and succinct marketing materials, including market updates, pitch materials, pricing information and case studies
  • Arrange Investor Relation activity for clients
  • Help put together trade ideas and recommendations for clients including analysis of debt market funding options and execution considerations across alternative markets
  • Interact and build relationships with clients at junior levels
  • Liaise with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. sector investment bankers, global debt syndicates, lawyers, compliance, accountants, other banks etc.)
  • Grow understanding of how the firm's full range of products and services can add value in different situations


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Enthusiasm with an eagerness to learn and apply new knowledge, absorb and digest market intelligence on a daily basis
  • Strong research skills and ability to tie big picture view of the markets
  • High meets expectations of attention to details
  • Strong project management skills (ability to successfully prioritize and deliver competing requirements)
  • Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business, in both Japanese and English
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Work experience in debt capital markets or financial industry
  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
  • Confident, assertive and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bloomberg skills
