Responsibilities:
  • Leading the service delivery for the investment pillar of our value proposition to upsell advice practices we serve in New South Wales to achieve retention and share of wallet AUM goals.
  • To recruit and win new advisers and practices in New South Wales to entrust their clients' assets to our managed portfolio solutions to achieve netflow goals.
  • Removing any potential barriers preventing advisers utilising our managed portfolio solutions and achieve philosophical alignment with our global best practice investment approach.
  • Onboarding and serving advisers to write new netflows by solving any investment and behavioural challenges when entrusting their clients' wealth to our managed portfolio solutions.
  • Following a solutions-based and consultative approach, you will build an understanding of the adviser's investment needs across all their client segments by collecting pertinent discovery data to identify and close solution structuring opportunities.
  • Prepare and present compelling investment solution proposals to gain adviser commitment to recommend our managed portfolios to their end clients. Including model comparisons, core satellite and competitor analysis on current and proposed strategies.
  • Influencing, persuading and educating advisers by presenting a "playbook" of how to incorporate our managed portfolio solutions across client segments to help their clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Represent the investment management team in external client speaking engagements, marketing and educational sessions. Including investment and behavioural coaching videos, webinars, forums and licensee conferences.
  • You will act as the voice of the adviser as we continue to enhance our investment and behavioural coaching services. Including best practice digital tools, portfolios comparison and reporting templates to ensure adviser success.
  • Provide input on product development and play a key role in the go to market launch to advisers on new managed portfolio solutions to maximise netflow success together with new business and account managers.
  • Regular writing of managed portfolio communication to support adviser engagement with their clients and practice optimisation collateral produced for investment solutions.
  • Ongoing adviser and licensee meeting preparation, presentations and investment query responses regarding our managed portfolio solutions and investment approach.
  • Quarterly investment collateral development and presentation to advice practices on key investment themes, performance and trade updates for our managed portfolio solutions.
  • Work collaboratively to build strong internal relationships with the investment management, marketing and product teams to execute and achieve your agreed business development goals.
  • Demonstrate completion of investments related business development activity in Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and complete quarterly objectives and key activity results metrics to achieve business development goals in investments in each quarter end.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What we'd expect you'd have on day 1:
Qualifications & experience required:
  • A bachelor's degree, and advanced degree and/or a CFA designation is preferred
  • Greater than 7 years of industry experience is preferred in investments and serving financial advisers and practices.
  • An evidenced track record in investments business development serving financial advisers and successfully converting these relationships to revenue.
  • Strong investment background, including principles of asset allocation, portfolio construction and manager analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience, understanding and proficiency to communicate investment and behavioural finance concepts in their application to financial advice.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets.
  • An ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and service standards to financial advisers.
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking and written communication skills. Including the ability to listen effectively, present a compelling solution to adviser and practice needs and objections.
  • Strong work ethic to deliver client centric service to financial advice practices.
  • RG146 Certification.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong motivation, tenacity, planning and time-management skills are essential.

Other things that would be useful to have, but not necessary:
  • Experience using Tableau and Salesforce (or similar).
