With the country depending upon our systems being secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) department and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with Australia’s most critical core IT platforms.
We are seeking a driven IT Operations Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract to contribute to one of our key projects. In this role, you will install, maintain, manage, and support our Enterprise Monitoring, Automation, and Scheduling tools. Your expertise will ensure jobs are executed successfully and systems are proactively monitored. You will respond to system requests and alerts, while monitoring IT incidents across operating systems, networks, and application environments. Collaboration across teams will be essential to drive automation and continuous improvement toward achieving a High Reliable Organisation (HRO).
About the role- Configure monitoring for networks, system applications, and devices using a variety of enterprise tools.
- Analyse alert trends and propose changes to improve event response.
- Continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems through IT operations.
- Investigate available hardware/software and recommend appropriate acquisitions for IT Operations.
- Program and automate using enterprise scheduler tools.
- Provide technical consultation to operators and undertake special assignments.
- Participate in disaster recovery tests.
- Some outside-hours support may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
- Proven experience in configuring and managing enterprise automation and scheduler tools.
- Experience with Control-M Scheduler, Tidal Scheduler, Spectrum, AppDynamics or similar is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in IT projects.
- Experience configuring monitoring tools.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience with API configuration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with Data Centre Management Tools (DCIM).
- Knowledge of AIOps – desirable.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – desirable.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) – desirable.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) – desirable.
