Job Description

We are seeking an IT Project Coordinator to manage client engagements and technical delivery within our Sydney practice. You will serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and client stakeholders, ensuring IT initiatives align with business objectives. Your core responsibility is to lead the project lifecycle by defining scope, managing timelines, and ensuring all deliverables meet the specific contractual requirements and quality standards of the firm.

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, and resource plans. Beyond tracking progress, you will identify potential project bottlenecks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain momentum. This role requires the active management of stakeholder expectations through regular status reporting and the facilitation of steering committee meetings to ensure transparency across the project ecosystem.

In this role, you will oversee resource allocation and monitor project budgets to ensure financial efficiency. You will apply established project management methodologies to standardise delivery and maintain consistency across various client environments. By identifying further service opportunities and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, you will contribute to the ongoing growth and reputation of the consultancy.

Qualifications

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana)
  • Experience in coordinating and managing IT projects
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with IT terminology and processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in Agile project management methodologies (preferred)
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) (preferred)
