Responsibilities:
These roles will involve securing and maintaining computer systems production environments, hardening systems and security remediation activities.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux) and hardware (Servers, PC's, Storage).
- Administration of Virtual Servers, Active Directory & System monitoring
- Daily System admin / help desk support
- Fault finding and resolving ad-hoc problems to prevent system downtime
- Maintaining IT Security JIRA tasks and ensuring timely resolution
- Assist in the update of IT Documentation
Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of virtualisation for example Horizon, VMWare, VSphere etc essential
- Understanding of Server Management/Operating systems for example PostGreSQL, MS SQL, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, RHEL etc. essential
- Experience in Backup and Disaster recovery for example Veeam, Eaton IPM, HPE etc. highly desirable
- Experience in Networking for example Cisco, Palo Alto, Raritan etc. highly desirable
- Knowledge of Industry recognised information security frameworks (ISO27001, NIST etc) would be beneficial
- Having Defence experience will prove invaluable in this position.
