Job Description

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated IT Solution Engineer & Systems Administrator to join our BASS team. This is a permanent, full-time role and is based at our headquarters in Clayton, although flexible working is available.

Position responsibilities will include:

  • Design technology solutions across multiple different customers. Solutions typically incorporate reusable hardware and software components that are integrated together including to customers backend systems

  • Actively support New Business Acquisition of Bosch (AA-AS) technology products and services with sales teams, by closely working with customers to understand existing pain points, objectives and then map the relationships between IT Platforms/Infrastructure/Software and Hardware solutions in order to present solution efficient and effective solutions

  • Act as a “Hands-on” System Administrator to configure and customise the company’s customer orientated IT solutions, together within ensuring relevant IT policies are maintained

Qualifications

The successful applicant will be a result orientated expert - part IT infrastructure guru, part technical architect for hardware and software solutions. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines, be a team player and have excellent organisational and communications skills.

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree in relevant IT discipline (Information Systems or Computer Science)
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, Project Management Systems, IT Hardware/ Software, SaaS
  • Programming languages (JavaScript, SQL, .NET, C#)
  • Extensive network hardware and software knowledge (routers, adapters, network drivers)
  • Data communication networks (LANs, WANs, intranets)
  • Experience with Salesforce is desirable 
  • Significant experience in a commercial and technical IT environment
  • Automotive IT Diagnostics Hardware/Software experience is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Possess commercial acumen and have the ability to translate technical information to easy-to-understand business concepts
