The IT Support Analyst provides first and second line IT technical support, manages deskside technologies and assets, ensures adherence to service level agreements, and supports the adoption of new technologies within the organization.

Working within our Regional IT Operations team, the IT Deskside Support Analyst is responsible for providing 1st Line and 2nd Line IT technical support to the business and support IT projects as required.
Your key focus areas are:
- Supporting and maintaining all deskside technologies either by telephone, email, remote or face to face.
- Responsibility for deskside asset management activity following strict procedures and processes in relation to hardware movements, installations and recoveries.
- Ensuring technology support meets requirements as defined in the Service Level Agreements.
- Responsibility for ensuring close working relationships are established and maintained with peers within Gategroup IT as required.
- Supporting the adoption and promotion of new technology.
- Carrying out of ad-hoc support tasks associated with the role, as reasonably requested.
About you:
- Successful vocational training as an IT specialist or comparable qualification.
- From 5-6 years’ experience working in a support IT role following industry standard processes, management of BAU IT tasks and analysis of operational issues in the deskside environment.
- Familiarity with Windows OS (Windows 10/11), Microsoft Office365, Printers (standard, label), and basic networking concepts.
- A strong desire to expand your technical skill set, with an eagerness to take on new challenges and absorb knowledge from senior team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to assist users in a professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to analyse problems and suggest solutions, escalating as necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise support requests, and keep track of tickets through completion.
- Work effectively with team members and receive feedback constructively.
