We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT leader to oversee the direction of a key functional, operational, and technical area within the Information Technology department. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of technology at the RBA, driving innovation, and delivering high-impact outcomes aligned with our strategic goals.
As a team leader, you will foster a values-aligned culture that promotes high levels of engagement and achievement. You will contribute to the broader strategic direction of the department, sharing accountability for performance and delivery of services that meet both current and future needs.
About the role
- Lead and develop high-performing individuals and teams to deliver on strategic and operational goals.
- Provide expert advice and deliver business-aligned, industry-leading IT services across infrastructure, operations, banking, payments, business intelligence, enterprise systems, application development, security, and architecture.
- Ensure operational accountability, including people management, budgeting, and process optimisation.
- Drive continuous improvement and maximise the value of technology investments.
- Enhance policies, systems, and processes to ensure integrity, documentation discipline, and alignment with industry standards.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities to ensure consistent delivery of technology solutions.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met and exceeded.
- Proven leadership in IT operations, with a strong track record of delivering strategic outcomes.
- Deep understanding of risk management, system availability, and business continuity.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and holistic wellbeing.
- Familiarity with relevant policies, systems, and industry best practices.
- Strong technical expertise in enterprise-level IT environments.
- Ability to lead and guide teams, set priorities, and achieve operational results.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- NV1 or higher security clearance (nice to have)
- Willingness to provide on-call or shift support and work irregular hours with minimal notice.
- Participation in regular business continuity testing.
