We have an exciting role for an experienced IT Technologist based in Sydney. In this role, you will have responsibility for providing IT support to the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Remote Service team on both our products and systems. In addition to IT specialist work, you will contribute to the overall function of the CRM Remote Service team who provide remote home monitoring support to patients with implanted cardiac devices, and other parties who facilitate that patients care (e.g., internal Medtronic Teams, clinic staff, physicians, patients’ family, etc.). providing clinical case support as well as looking to grow market share and execute on business plans.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Running relevant automations/macros which support team processes

  • Working with CRM IT to create new automations/macros to continually improve efficiency and quality of the team’s tasks

  • Participate in projects to streamline the FocusOn service, increasing efficiency and quality

  • Conducting system testing, including informal and formal user acceptance testing

  • Assisting general support activities related to tablets

  • Timely execution of periodic tasks such as reporting, safety nets, actioning patient profile updates and other duties to allow high quality support for FocusOn and Carelink patients

  • TeamViewer support with installing\configuring software on different customer networks

  • Follow ups with third party customer IT for troubleshooting integration issues

  • Work with remote desktop connectivity programs for various internal servers

  • When required, be able to provide back-up support to the Remote Service Support team to support FocusOn patients and customers and other stakeholders. For example:

    • Phone system related tasks such as triggering robocall campaigns, operating an outbound dialer, basic function such as logging in, user access management, etc.

    • IT support tasks related to items such as clinic onboarding, reporting, patient onboarding, patient record management, enrolling, scheduling, clinic account set-up, user-permissions, EMR set-up, troubleshooting support, etc. 

  • Observe all health and safety policies and procedures and take all reasonable care that actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others

  • Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct

  • Ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards (including ISO13485) are maintained about its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree/Tertiary qualifications in IT related area (IT, Engineering, Computer Science).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience providing IT support

  • Industry experience is highly regarded (Healthcare)

  • Advanced computer, MS and coding proficient preferred coding languages: VBA, ASP.net, Java, Python, Powershell, GoLang, R.

  • Proven competency to create and maintain IT tools that automate repetitive processes

  • Strong interest in new technologies (such as generative AI) with an aptitude to identify problems that can be solved with technological solutions and then creation of those solutions

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong and on-time execution focusses with stakeholders in a dynamic environment with an ability to be agile
