POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking three highly skilled and passionate linguists with expertise in transcreation and creative writing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of various audiovisual content genres, including apps, music, sports, and movie/TV descriptions. The role requires the ability to translate and localize content accurately and engagingly, ensuring cultural relevance and contextual accuracy while maintaining the original message and tone.

Expected Capacity: 1000 to 2000 words per day
Expected availability: 6 hours per day, 5 days per week (30 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and localize content related to apps, music, sports, and broader audiovisual content, ensuring cultural relevance and contextual accuracy.
- Adapt content to suit the linguistic and cultural nuances of the target audience while maintaining the original message and tone.
- Review and edit translated content for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Ensure adherence to industry-specific terminology and style guidelines.
- Utilize creative writing skills to enhance and adapt content for various media platforms.
- Ensure the transcreated content resonates with the target audience, capturing the essence and emotion of the original piece.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, news, and developments in apps, music, sports, and broader audiovisual content.
- Provide insights and expertise on relevant topics to inform content creation and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience in translation and localization, with a focus on audiovisual content.
- Demonstrable expertise in apps, music, sports, and movie/TV descriptions.
- Proficiency in English and Japanese, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both.
- Strong understanding of terminology related to apps, music, sports, and audiovisual content.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative writing skills to adapt and enhance content for various media platforms.
- Familiarity with translation software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
