Junior Accountant, APAC (Contract)

As a Junior Accountant (APAC) you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for APAC entities, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and local accounting standards. You will play a key role in month-end close, audit coordination, financial statement preparation, while driving process improvements and collaborating across functions.

This role is a 7 month parental cover contract position.

Responsibilities:

Monthly Financial Close & Reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts under US-GAAP, including:
  • Bank and month-end journals
  • Weekly Bank Reconciliation
  • Variance analysis and commentary
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to corporate deadlines
• Collaborate with Accounting Operation teams to validate inputs and ensure data integrity

Audit Assistance

• Prepare schedules for internal and external audits
• Respond to auditor queries

Process Improvement & Ad Hoc Duties

• Participate in ongoing initiatives to standardize and streamline accounting processes
• Assist with monthly cash forecasting tasks
• Provide support on various ad hoc tasks and projects as required

What we’re looking for:

• Degree qualifications or relevant Accounting experience, and you may be pursuing CPA or CA qualifications
• 1-3+ years of experience in an accounting role, ideally within a multinational or fast-paced environment
• Ideally experience in the technology sector or other fast paced high-growth industries
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
• Excellent Excel skills, experience with NetSuite ERP is advantageous but not a pre-requisite
• Highly motivated and self-driven, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Demonstrated a strong work ethic
