WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2013 as Scape Australia, leaders in student housing, we’ve since grown into a vertically integrated living platform known as The Living Company. We manage $18B in assets across Student Living (Scape), Rent to Live – Affordable Housing (RTL Co.), and Retirement Living (Aveo), spanning site origination, investment, planning, design, development, construction, and operations. The Living Company is reshaping how Australians live by delivering sustainable, community-driven, high-quality spaces across the country.

Location: Sydney CBD HQ (5 days on-site)

Reports to: General Manager – Enterprise Applications

THE ROLE

As our Junior Business Analyst – Enterprise Applications, you’ll join the team that delivers and supports the finance, CRM and operational systems used across Aveo, Scape and RTL Co.

This role is for someone who wants to be in the thick of delivery. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle – understanding what the business needs, getting hands-on in the system, testing it, training people on it and supporting them after go-live. The business is going through a period of change, with systems being consolidated and improved across the group, so there’s a strong pipeline of projects where you can make a real impact. You’ll start on our Medius accounts payable automation rollout.

Think of it as a consulting-style role inside one organisation. You won’t just write documents and hand them over – when something needs doing to get a project over the line, you’ll roll up your sleeves and help make it happen.

Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):

  • Getting hands-on with the systems we deliver, learning how they’re configured, how they work, and where they could work better.
  • Running requirements sessions with business users and turning what you hear into clear requirements, user stories and Jira tickets.
  • Working with vendors and our internal delivery team to keep work moving, clarify requirements, follow up on actions, and raise issues early.
  • Writing and running test scripts, logging defects and guiding business users through user acceptance testing.
  • Preparing training materials and user guides and delivering training sessions to colleagues across the business.
  • Supporting users through go-live and beyond, troubleshooting issues across platforms such as NetSuite, TechnologyOne, Concur, and Web Expenses, and working with vendors to resolve them.
  • Identify recurring pain points in our existing platforms and help simplify or automate them, including building simple reports and using AI tools to work smarter.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We hire for attitude over experience. You don’t need to tick every box – if you’re curious, practical and keen to learn, we want to hear from you.

  • A “whatever it takes” attitude – happy to roll up your sleeves, take on whatever a project needs and see things through.
  • Curiosity and a real willingness to learn – you pick up new systems quickly and like understanding how things work.
  • Some exposure to a corporate, IT or systems environment – an internship, graduate program, IT support role, or an operational role where you got involved in system or process change all count.
  • Clear communication skills, with the confidence to work with business users, vendors and technical teams, and to explain systems simply.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail – you follow up, document your work and don’t let things drop.
  • An enthusiasm for AI and a habit of using it well, without replacing your own thinking.
  • Highly regarded: a tertiary qualification in IT, Information Systems, Business or a related discipline, and any exposure to ERP, finance or CRM platforms, or tools such as Jira and Confluence.

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?

  • Build breadth across finance, CRM and operational systems that would take years to accumulate elsewhere
  • Join at a time of real change – a strong pipeline of system consolidation and improvement projects where your work will make a visible difference
  • Learn on the job alongside experienced practitioners and vendors, with real responsibility from day one
  • Hands-on exposure to a major system implementation – from requirements through to go-live and support
  • Support to grow your career, including towards a recognised business analysis qualification
  • Be part of a purpose-led organisation shaping how Australians live
  • Strong focus on wellbeing, growth and inclusive culture
  • Competitive rewards, recognition programs and lifestyle benefits

INTERESTED? HERE’S HOW TO APPLY

If this sounds like your next career move, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now with your CV and a short cover letter telling us about a time you rolled up your sleeves to get something done – at work, in study or elsewhere.

Please note that we will be reviewing applications and contacting candidates on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible. No agencies please.

At The Living Company, we honour and welcome the rich heritage and contributions of First Nations and Indigenous peoples.
