The opportunity

Our role will see you reporting into the Head of Business Continuity and Resilience, supporting the AUSPAC Business Continuity Management team. You will assist with finalising regulatory requirements through the completion of the Business Continuity Program (BCP).

This is a great opportunity for someone who is in the early stages of their career and or is looking to gain exposure and progress within Business Continuity. It is a diverse role that provides great opportunities and experiences, you will have exposure to multiple business units within QBE and across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, whilst engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Your new role

  • Reviewing AUSPAC business continuity plans and ensuring they align with QBE’s strategy and regulatory requirements

  • Involvement in supporting business disruption response

  • Reviewing compliance requirements and regulations set out by governing authorities

  • Engaging with, and educating, stakeholders on QBE’s business continuity

  • Supporting business continuity exercises and managing the resolution of identified issues

About you

We are looking for a proactive and problem-solving person who is passionate about what they do! The ideal candidate is someone who has worked within a similar role or projects and can apply their skills, knowledge and expertise to ensure positive outcomes.

  • Interested or has knowledge of business continuity

  • Knowledge of the general insurance or finance industry

  • Ability to work positively with key stakeholders, as well as influence and negotiate

  • Fantastic attention to detail and ability to make decisions within challenging circumstances

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
