About the role
This role supports data-driven decision-making across the business by ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and well-understood. - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visual summaries that clearly communicate insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with data engineers and BI teams to troubleshoot data issues and improve data quality pipelines
- Work closely with business teams (e.g., marketing) to understand their questions and deliver actionable insights
- Document data sources, assumptions, and logic used in analysis to support transparency and reproducibility
- Support machine learning projects by preparing clean, reliable data for modelling and contributing to feature engineering and model development under guidance

We are looking for someone with:
- 2+ years experience in data science and analytics
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field such as data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience in developing clear, compelling data visualisations using tools including Power BI, Tableau, or Python-based libraries
- Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential
- A strong foundation in statistical methods and practical experience with both supervised and unsupervised machine learning
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in exploratory data analysis (EDA) through commercial or project-based work
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering for analysis and modelling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- An awareness of data privacy principles and a strong commitment to ethical data use
- Alignment with our core values: Authenticity, Action, Empathy, Curiosity, and Connection

Why Australian Ethical?
- We offer a competitive salary, including short-term and long-term incentives including access to an Employee Share Plan
- Hybrid work arrangements
- Wellbeing program that includes an extra 5 days of leave above statutory requirement
- Purpose aligned volunteer days
- 20 days paid annual leave with an additional 3 paid days of annual leave over the Christmas period
