About the Team

As a Junior Java Developer, you are expected to work in an integrated engineering model, that means you will be responsible for creating and testing new applications that fit with our team standards to execute and deliver projects efficiently and on time and with the desired quality.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot framework.
  •  Develop robust RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
  • Play a pivotal part in building and maintaining critical backend services that power our innovative solutions.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Build scalable and reliable backend systems and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and industry trends.

Experience you’ll bring

  • 2-3 years experience in Java and Spring Boot technologies
  • JUnit testing, familiar with Integration testing
  • SQL: Postgres
  • GitHub

Nice to have

  • Familiar with code pipelines and DevOps Principles
  • Application Server: Tomcat or similar
  • Familiar with AWS technologies - EC2, S3, CloudWatch
  • Familiar with Angular and/or Kafka.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
